BSIN & WLIN members had a wonderful experience in Kenya with the guidance of Water Gap Safaris Africa

From first time perspective, when you reckon Kenya in my own words, many people will think of a remote African country with a hot climate and desert terrain. But upon visiting, the country is completely different from your imagination! Kenya is not only the paradise of the wildlife in the world, but also is a great destination for those who love adventure travel.

Water Gap Safaris Africa welcomed BSIN & WLIN Vietnam to Kenya with open arms in Nairobi, the city is described as ‘The city under the sun’, and with such elegance do those rays complement Nairobi. This amazing climate reminds me of the weather in Dalat (Dalat is considered as “The city of a thousand flowers’ in Vietnam. The flowers I met in Kenya were the beautiful & shining smiles of the Miss Kenya Tourism participants that ushered us into the country.  Before coming to Kenya, many people told me that this country is not secure, but now I believe that they are completely wrong, because Kenya is safe, friendly with such delicious food and hospitable people.

Water Gap Safaris Africa welcomed us at the Nairobi Airport

On the first day of arriving in Kenya, we moved from Nairobi airport to the Villa Rosa -Kempinski Hotel – Hoteliers since 1897- which Water Gap Safaris had made my home for a few days. The Kempinski has travelled the world in search of the most fascinating destinations without ever forgetting the finest traditions of its European heritage. With luxury holiday resorts, business and Spa hotels around the world, every Kempinski Hotel is unique, designed for guests who value five star holidays and luxury getaways. And this one in particular, does not disappoint. It commits its aesthetic to the Kenyan savannah, paying homage to the lush green fauna the exterior lounge relaxes your mind both is sight and sound of the water fountains flowing.

I found out it was a hotel of choice by former US President – Barak Obama while attending the Global Entrepreneur Summit with 3,000 delegates around the world on July 24th, 2015.  I am really proud yet humbled, to have put camp here, despite even though the inspection process at the hotel is quite strict, in avoidance of any threat. On that day, we were able to participate in Business Dinner at the Capital Club. This was an opportunity to interact, connect with other businessmen and listen to speakers including Mrs. Caroline & Ms. Helen Nguyen and some other famous businessmen both from Kenya and Viet Nam.

The next day, the sole purpose that drives Water Gap Safaris Africa, was manifested. We were involved in the launch ceremony of WLIN Kenya in a beautiful reception hall at the Villa Rosa. This is indeed was a magnificent event, it is impressive to witness WLIN continue to grow in this country while bringing much value to the women here. This event attracted the participation of more than 200 entrepreneurs from all over the world. We listened to speeches from global experts about building a strong, well founded, woman leaders’ community in Kenya, as well as understanding the current political and economic issues facing the country. In addition, the Vietnamese delegation was extremely at awe, by the special and impressive performances from the musician and other artists by their melodic tones and heart-warming lyrics. In my opinion, this was truly an impressive opening ceremony.

On the third day, we set off from the hotel and sojourned to the Maasai Mara under the guidance of Mrs Caroline’s Water Gap Africa Safaris. The 6-hour journey allowed me to enjoy the unique scenery in Kenya and experience the extremely interesting feeling on the tourist car. Opening my eye to each horizon, one ought to marvel and respect the diversity of a nation. I still remain speechless, but I replay this memories in my head whenever I get the chance. Upon our arrival at the Maasai Mara, we were accommodated at the Sarova Hotel, in the small huts that Water Gap Safari had previously booked for the envoy. When I say hut, I don’t know what comes to your mind? But these huts, we fully furnished and had such a pristine presentation that meets the eye. On the other hand, their services were perfect, again to my surprise. We had a great night in Sarova and continued to prepare to visit Maasai Mara National Reserve, on the next day.

Maasai Mara National Reserve (also known as Maasai Mara, Masai Mara and by the local people as The Mara) is a large game reserve in Narok County, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, Tanzania. It is named in honor of the Maasai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: “Mara,” which is Maa (Maasai language) for “spotted,” an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.

It is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is only a fraction of the Greater Mara Ecosystem, which includes the following Group Ranches: Koiyaki, Lemek, Ol Chorro Oirowua, Olkinyei, Siana, Maji Moto, Naikara, Ol Derkesi, Kerinkani, Oloirien, and Kimintet. This was also a reason we travelled to Kenya, to open ourselves to a different culture and atmosphere which I thank Water Gap Safaris Africa. The scene of migratory animals was really impressive. Moreover, the experience of being spectating all day just to capture the scene of migration was life-changing.

Many kinds of animals in Maasai Mara National Reserve

The prime experience was probably the moment we went on the air balloon, something that we only see on film. I was watching wild animals from the sky and enjoyed the sunrise in the horizons of Kenya. In addition, I also had a hearty, romantic breakfast in the National Park. That’s so amazing and I think that there’re no words to describe that feeling.  My team has 8 members and they almost enjoyed the trip.

“Kenya now is a developing country.  Although its GDP is not high, I think there is one point that will help them grow quickly is English. Every Kenya can speak English.  It becomes the main language in this country. Besides that, Kenya is also very safe country because there are no robberies on the street like in Vietnam so anyone who hasn’t gone to Kenya but wants to explore should go there. You will enjoy an extremely interesting feeling when you camp and sleep in the forest with wild animals in Kenya’s national park especially the feeling of being floating on air balloons, watching the animals in Maasai Mara National Park. One of the things that make me feel the most happy and proud is the establishment of WLIN in Kenya – A network is founded and operated by Mrs. Caroline Verkaik – President of WLIN Kenya, Mrs Pennslyvania States 2018, CEO of Water Gap Africa Safari, founder of Voice of Our Child. Without her persuasive effort, WLIN Global and I might not be motivated enough to come to this strange land. It is true that every effort has been rewarded.  With the enthusiasm of WLIN Global, WLIN Kenya has organized an outstanding event” – Runner – up Mrs. World Nguyen Thu Huong (Helen Nguyen) – President of WLIN Global, General Director of Nam Huong Corp shared.

“The world is not only New York or Tokyo, there are countless amazing and wonderful things. Thanks to Water Gap Safaris Africa for giving us such incredible experiences. I will return to Kenya on the closest day with my family” – Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam – Chairman of Nam Huong Corp, CEO of Berjaya Vietnam had an interesting sharing

In my point of view, this is really an unforgettable trip for me. During 7 days of traveling on Land Cruiser cars, the field meals helped me to enjoy the true feeling of the true animal world explorers.Thank you, Water Gap Safari. You are really wonderful and thoughtful when giving us unforgettable memories

My experience during the time in Kenya

We closed our journey with wonderful memories, new knowledge to learn from Kenyan friends, I leave Kenya having learnt some Swahili but mostly appreciating the amazing culture. Once again, I would like to thank the Water Gap Safari especially Mrs. Caroline Verkaik. You are very friendly and hospitable.  You have been doing a great job in promoting the image of Kenya and bringing it much closer to the entire world. I hope your mission to humanitarianism through travel never changes, it is wonderful that citizens of my country will hear of this experience and want to make changes of perception towards greater Africa, they will also want to correct social injustices, as it human nature to forget that no man is an island.
